Hi All - new to the forum as on the look out for a pre-press operator as below:

We are currently recruiting for a Pre-press Operator based at our flagship Leeds production facility. The ideal candidate will have a background in print. They will have a keen eye for detail, enjoy being part of a team and possess a can do attitude.

Responsibilities include:

• Using Adobe CC packages (including Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)
• Liaising with production, sales & clients to successfully work
• Maintain quality, accuracy & consistency of work whilst being mindful of tight deadlines
• Accept client-supported artwork, perform pre-flight checks, rip files and proof back to clients
• Prepare files & plates for press, working to our specifications and standard operating procedures
• Operation of our small format digital press (Xerox & Canon)

Core skills required:

• Extensive experience of Adobe CC packages
• Good Mac / PS OS skills
• A keen eye and understanding of colour
• Ability to manage own workload and demonstrate initiative
• Good file management & housekeeping
• Excellent communication skills, confident & approachable

The role primarily focuses on Pre-Press Operation & Artwork, rather than being a creative design position. Training will be given where necessary on our company processes, procedures and software.
