This update should clear out all the empty images that were appearing for many of you :)

If any genuine additions were deleted please accept my apologies, inline with the new setup you will now need 25+ posts to use the folio feature, and all images/albums are moderated.

Just been running through a few DF updates, most of which won't affect the majority of you, but should hopefully help in our fight against spammers and one post wonders!

New setup is as follows;
- You must have 25 posts+ to add a link to a post/thread.
- You must have 25 posts+ to use signature links.
- You must have 25 posts+ to use the gallery/image upload feature.

This should reduce a lot of the work needed from the moderator team, and those of you who report spam posts (which is very helpful by the way!) :)

If you have a design blog (that has an RSS feed), you're a regular DF member, and would like your latest posts to appear as updates to that forum (courtesy of the new DF RSS Bot) please let me know with a reply here or a PM :)

I'm hoping to get the DF Blog launched very soon (it's been too long coming) along with a couple of other side projects to help promote DF, as part of the blog I'm looking to have a regular Friday feature, and have been thinking of 'Folio Focus Friday', so each week a design regular from DF will get the chance to exhibit some of their best work and get some exposure.

Interested to hear if you think this sounds like a good feature? and/or any suggestions you guys might have for regular features/content on the blog?

I've decided to trial a couple of Moo print ads, this wasn't an easy decision to make, but covering the costs for running DF is beginning to become a bit of a struggle. I've picked a couple of ads that suit the DF colour scheme, and will eventually have these just running for guests (the top one is already set for guests only) so hopefully this will be another incentive for visitors to become DF members.

The forums get a lot of guest traffic so I'm hoping that these ads can help support the development and future of Design Forums with a few coins in the kitty :cool:

I haven't been around much for the past few weeks, but will put that right with a few new features & additions to the site very soon.

Amazed to see us reaching 5,000 threads, from a very quiet start back in 2008 we have a great little community here, and great to see that DF has played a part in bringing a few creative people together over the past couple of years.

So, yep that's all for the 5,000 thread, a simple thank-you to you all for spending time on DF, and making it the place it is :up:
