"hypebar" is a team of 3 young creatives which is currently stepping into semi-professional film-business.

Our team consists of an Austrian Filmmaker who is doing the directing, shooting, editing and color correction, a professional Soundtrack Composer and Musician from England who is creating the sound fx and a talented VFX artist from France who is doing awesome animations and special effects.

To complete our team and make one step further, we are looking for a good, talented and motivated gfx artist who is willing to work regularly with us on non- and low-budget films such as commercials, narratives, portraits of other artists and more.

You would have the chance to work on a variety of stuff, and some or your "jobs" would be the development of logos and symbols, typographie, backgrounds etc ... things we need for some of our films and which our vfx artist would use to come alive.

Furthermore, you do have the chance to work in an ambitious team with very talented young artists, and sooner or later, we hopefully have the opportunity to earn some money with our vids

From 24th of September i'll be full-time self employed/freelancing with Kudosis. I was looking at using Billings 3 as my main app for invoicing and record keeping etc, but I am yet to try the program out so not sure if its definitely the right way to go?

Has anyone used or uses Billings before? Do you rate it?

Or if you use an excel sheet for monthly incomings/outgoings where did you get it from or did you make your own?

What is the best way to charge for work?

Do you...

A. Work out a price per job / client ensuring that you are not over charging and the client walks away.

B. Again work out a price per job but charge more than you would above, running the risk of losing the work.

I have just built a website for about £140 covering 9 pages, that sounds like a steal but otherwise the client would have probably walked away due to affordability

Did a quick search and nothing came up immediately so here's my question.

I'm making a simple contract for a job I'm embarking on in the next couple of months.

What exactly do I need in there? I've read articles on sites that suggest x/y/z, but wondered what you guys think from experience.

Obviously it needs the deadlines, the brief that's agreed upon written out in full, pricing agreed and when payment is due.

Do I also need to put into it the consequences of missed deadlines and any leeway regarding deadlines missed? I will also be putting in there at the bottom that deadlines being met is dependant on emails being replied to within 24 hours of being sent so that I'm not waiting around and twiddling my thumbs when I need to be getting the work done.

Anything else you guys can think of? I've never done a contract before so it's something new to me.
