BRIEF:
Film Poster for the new Quentin Tarrantino film remake of Terrence Malick's classic film 'Badlands'. Badland is the modern dramatization of the Starkweather-Fugate killing spree of the 1950's, in which a teenage girl and her twenty-something boyfriend slaughtered her entire family and several others in the Dakota badlands.
Quentin will direct his homage to Malik's classic in his own style, bringing the timeline up to America 2008. Music by the Kings of Leon and the Killers. It will be 18 certificate

DF Film Poster Competition Format:
1. All entries must be be a portrait film poster uploaded by jpeg. Final upload image size 660 pixels wide x 990 pixels high 72dpi
2. A maximum of 3 entries per individual
3. Any style of poster is acceptable, typographic, image, illustration.
4. Please bear in mind the Directors 'style' and tone
5. The judges ( me) are/am looking for something 'different'.
6. The closing date for entries is Monday 15th June 2009.12.00
7. One winner will be chosen, the judges decision ( mine) is final ( as ever)
8. A super-duper prize of the Wolverine Files will be sent to the winner



9. The winner will have complete bragging rights of his/her victory for one full Design Forum Year and will be granted DF Design Deity level 1

Well done Berry thats a brilliant idea for a comp nice prize too one of your personal collection?

My son got the Wolverine Files and I thought it would make a nice prize, ( not his, a new one!) may even get CaptainRage doodling, as she's Jackman fan.

Awesome stuff Berry, thanks for going to the trouble of getting this started! Excited to see the creativity of the DF community!!
I'll send out an e-mail to all members with some details on the contest and some other DF updates in the next couple of days.

Looking forward to seeing entries for this, do you think it would be of benefit to set up a separate sub-forum for DF contests, just so it's easier to keep track of entries and related threads? Also one other small detail, would it be good to set a maximum image size for the entries?

Erm, what I was thinking probably isn't edible, but then I guess it depends on how hungry you are... the short answer is no it won't be edible!

( Could I suggest that you consider uploading pixs via TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting then we can see the image in huge Panavision in the post and not small thumbnails. )
